The Tuscarora Soccer Club (TSC) is a private soccer club that offers the travel soccer experience to boys and girls with ages ranging from 8 to 18. The club was founded in New Bloomfield by Ken Berrier in 1990. The first team was comprised of boys from all over Perry County and as a result the club was called Tuscarora after the mountain range that runs the entire length of the county. Since it’s founding in 1990, the club has grown over the years to support on average twelve teams with players coming from across Perry and Juniata Counties. In conjunction with the expansion of the club over the years, TSC has experienced a vast growth in our player’s soccer knowledge and capabilities. Today the club has several teams that compete at the Premier level in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL) and successfully represent the club at various soccer tournaments throughout the mid-state.
While success on the field is important, the club has never wavered from their philosophy to develop self- confidence, teamwork and good sportsmanship in all of our players. Each player, coach and parent commits every year to uphold the six pillars of character as defined by the American Youth Soccer Organization: Trustworthiness, Respect, Caring, Responsibility, Fairness and Citizenship. These important pillars guide our conduct on and off the field.
